This is a $13.6 million dollar 105,000 square foot elementary school with elevated mezzanines to accommodate mechanical and electrical systems. The site consisted of 24 acres with extensive site work, including mass clearing, grading, underground site utilities, and county road widening and improvements.
Early in the grading process the project encountered approximately 20,000 CY of mass and trench rock. Arco Builders was able to work with the soils Engineer, Grading Contractor, and Owner to dispose of this material on site. This resulted in a considerable cost savings to the Owner. The project included approximately 2,500 LF of off-site sanitary sewer system that was installed through a county acquired easement, with two elevated sections of line to eliminate the need of disturbing active creek beds and wetland areas.
